The BigSun Organization is proud to be able to continue to help young athletes succeed in their academic pursuits. We are offering an annual scholarship to a deserving student. All student athletes are eligible for this award, regardless of which sport they are participating in.

Texarkana College / 2010-2011 Rising Star Scholarship
The Texarkana College Rising Star Scholarship pays full tuition and fees for academic or vocational classes. First year recipients must maintain full-time enrollment. Application requirements:
* Be a 2010 High school graduate public or private).
* Family Taxable Income of $75,000 or less.
* Must enroll and maintain full - time status (12 semester hours/or day classes for Vocational).
Application Deadline:
* May 1st to be announced at graduation.
* Last day of late fall registration for fall semester or quarter following high school graduation during the current year.
Required Documents:
* High School transcript.
* A signed copy of your parent's 2009 Federal income tax return.

Texas Telephone Association Scholarship Application & Guidelines
The Texas Telephone Association Foundation (TTAF), a non-profit,philanthropic organization founded to help further the understanding of telephony and advance telecommunications as a career choice, will award five, four-year scholarships, in the amount of $1,500 per year to students entering college for the 2010-2011 school year. Baylor University
Collins Scholars are awarded $4,350 each year, renewable up to three years. To be considered for the program, applicants must: meet all university requirements for unconditional admission; have a minimum combined Critical Reading and Math score of 1250 on the Scholastic Assessment Test (SAT) or a minimum of 28 on the American College Test (ACT). National Merit Scholarship Competition. This scholarship covers full tuition plus an additional amount ranging from $2,000 to $4,000, depending on the Finalist's SAT/ACT score.
President's Gold, Provost's Gold,Deans' Gold Scholarship Programs. These scholarships range in value from $12,000 to $68,000 divided evenly over four years of undergraduate academic study. Students are considered for these awards by virtue of their application for admission to Baylor.
Charles, Lela and Mary Slough Foundation Scholarship
Eligible applicants must have aleast a 3.0 GPA, be a U.S. citizen, and be a Texas resident at the time of application. To be considered the student must submit: a Slough Scholarship Application, the results of their Free Application for Federal Student Aid, a one page essay, and provide an official copy of their high school or college transcript.
